December 2007 : We love this time of the year with all the holiday things going on! Thira turned 18 months halfway through this month! She is saying 2 and 3 words together and one phrase she is using and trying to accomplish is "poopoo potty" ;) She likes thanking all of us by saying thank you and then our names afterwards -ex- "dant you, mommy". She also likes to try and count things but usually repeats the number two over and over :) Thira likes to go through a list of people to say good night to at bedtime- "nigh, nigh daddy, nigh, nigh, Cory (her boyfriend), nigh nigh elmo, etc.

November 2007 : Thira was 16 and 17 months old this month. She loves singing to finger play songs and "wheels on the bus" and a duck song are her favorites. Thira is a huge dare devil and rides down hills near our house on her trike by herself going fast!

October 2007 : We started the month off with Keelan's school band playing at the football game- fun! Keelan went to Milwaukee to spend a weekend with his Aunt Nicole, Uncle Ben, and cousin Ellis! I think they ate lots of cheese curds- hehe! He had a great time there! Our best friends from England- Tammi, Delboy, and their 14 mos. old, Josh, came to visit us!! Grandma Shirley came for a visit too for Halloween! Ayden dressed as a non scary grim reaper, Thira was a fancy lady bug, and Keelan was a mop head (b/c the eigthgraders call him that (go figure- haha))! Keelan was also crowned "prince" at the school masquerade ball! Thira cracked us up a lot this month! She started singing all by herself to a Christmas song! During the "falalalala" part she flipped her tongue while making a singing sound- haha! When she would drive by this one house with Halloween decor. each time she would say "oohhh" or a long drawn out -"wow"! She pretends to be sleeping by making a fake snoring sound. She yells "baby" over and over when she sees the neighbors car (their baby is usually in it) or as she heads by herself to their front door. She tried to climb a tree, says "eww" when she sees a bug or dirt, says "boo boo" or "owie" when she gets an ouchie, and tells people to (c) "mon" while motioning her hand to come where she wants you to. She unloads the dishwasher by handing you silverware and telling us "thank you" after handing us each piece. She is an absolute pro on her riding toys manuevering wherever she wants to go and fast and also down hills by herself! She loves her sit and spin toy. And she also discovered coloring all over walls and furniture this month! :) She prefers to call Keelan "Kiki" and will try to say any word you want her to!

September 2007 : We celebrated Damian's birthday this month. Keelan had his first school dance of the year- a "beach bash". Ayden is plugging along with piano lessons and liking it! Thira started swim lessons this month and loves it! She will go down a slide on the side of the pool and goes under water until I pick her out of the water! Tanya and Thira went to Illinois for a wedding and to see a lot of family! Thira turned 15 months halfway through this month. Thira plays "Simon Says" as in- she is Simon! One day we copied her arm movements and she kept going and doing different things with her hands and then she got to the point where she would holler and point at you if you weren't copying her! haha! She can also put her pink camoflauge croc shoes on all by herself!

August 2007 : Back to school this month for the boys who don't want summer to end! Thira turned 14 months halfway through Aug. She is saying even more words- baby, bye bye, boo, mommy (instead of momma), yeah, go, bubbles, down, yummy, dodo (night night or sleep in french) and there it is (which is more of a roll of her tongue). She is always looking for someone to play ring around the rosie with her. Will say shhh if someone makes a noise when she is going to sleep. AND.... she now lets herself out of the house- ugh!

July 2007 : Busy month- first the 4th of July, then Damian back to Basel, Switzerland, his parents came for a visit after that, Keelan then went to Camp Alexander in Colorado for Scout summer camp, then we went to Tanya's parents home in St. Simons Island, Georgia for a vacation with her family. Thira turned 13 months halfway through this month! Thira is an even bigger mimic- she vacuums with her toy vacuum when we vacuum, wants to feed herself. She is using more sign language and says Ayden, shoe, apple and thank you now...

June 2007 : We started this month off with swimming and Thira loved it and was fearless! Ayden went to a baseball camp for a week at Flower Mound High School and had fun. Grandma and Grandpa Robben, Alysia, and Grandpa Ron came for a visit! Thira turned ONE the middle of this month!! Wow, how time flies! She can say 10 words (!!) and can understand soo much of what you say to her and any command to do something (get your shoes, take your diaper off, give me the ball, throw that trash away, let's go outside... She likes to do a lot of the things we do (ie)- cleaning things with a rag, putting her hands to her mouth to holler for someone, typing on the computer, trying to reach door handles on her tippy toes to open them, feeding her dolls, etc!

may 2007 : This month we have Keelan's birthday on the 19th and Ayden's on the 29th! then a couple weeks after Ayden's birthday is Thira's! whew! The boys are done with school on the 24th and can't wait! Thira was 10 and 11 months old this month and has become a climber and scouts out things to climb on all the time. She knows how to say some animal and car sounds. She knows seven body parts at eleven mos old!! She is also shaking her head no when she is touching something she shouldn't be touching or is about to do something she shouldn't be doing- little stinker ;)

April 2007 : This month we celebrated Easter at the beach in Sea Isle, Texas. Unfortunately, it ended up being a cold weekend instead of the usual 80+ weather. We still had fun and the older boys (Damian and Keelan) got to do some surfing on smaller waves. Thira started walking this month. She took 5 steps in a row on her 10 mos. birthday, to be exact, and is walking everywhere now! She helps put away groceries, tries to put on shoes, kicks balls, uses sign language for the word "eat", washes her feet and face, mysteriously has radar for an open bathroom door to get at the toilet (yuck), and is a huge hugger/ snuggler!

March 2007 : This month we had visits from Grandpa Ron, Grandma Shirley, Nicole and her baby Ellis! We have the boys sports games several times a week. Damian got to go back to Basel, Switzerland on a business trip and see old friends! Thira was 8 and 9 mos. old this month. In addition to Thira already saying "hi", she now waves and says "hi" and says "hi" when she hears a phone ring, she is now saying "uh oh", "nana" (banana)when she sees one, "nigh, nigh" (night night) when we go to bed, and "der" (there) when she points to your nose, points to you when you ask her where you are, or when she is pointing to Ernie in her book! She also loves to say "roar" in this deep raspy voice when you ask her "what does a tiger say"? She likes playing Itsy Bitsy Spider with her fingers, stands without holding on to anything, and even took a step by herself the last day of this month at 9 1/2 mos old :) !

february 2007 : February started out cold and with snow, but by the middle of the month we were wearing T-shirts. Mommo and Papa Robben came for a visit. Keelan started soccer this month and is also in Boy Scouts, guitar lessons, and trumpet at school. Ayden started baseball this month and will start piano next month! Thira was very busy this month, being 7 and then turning 8 mos this month, learning to wave "hi", opening cabinets, throwing balls when you ask her to, cruising furniture, and holding a phone up to her ear and saying "hi".

january 2007 : This month has brought us cold weather and some snow/flurries! The boys are back in the swing of school and related activities after a long Christmas break. Thira is cruising furniture and understands things like her name, "clap your hands", "turn off the lights" and "give me a bisou" (kiss).

December 2006 : This month flew by! Grandpa Ron came for a visit! Keelan had a trumpet program and Ayden a holiday play at school. We flew to Saint Simons Island, GA to Tanya's parents home for Christmas. This was Thira's first Christmas! She also got to stick her feet in the ocean water and eat sand ;) for the first time! We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's eve!

November 2006 : Ayden and Keelan are soo in love with their sister and she lights up when they come near her! Thira sat up by herself this month, she creeps across the room towards cords and outlets (go figure), and started eating cereal like a pro! We had family in for Thanksgiving and ended the month by decking our halls with boughs of holly.

October 2006 : Tanya finally got to see her nephew, Ellis, this month- he is too darn cute! Thira turned 4 months old on Oct. 13th and learned to roll from back to belly the day before and by that evening she had rolled across the room! She is also doing an army crawl to get around! Keelan's last soccer game and Ayden's last baseball game is this month. The boys are getting anxious for Halloween to arrive!
